Possession is a concept of paranormal, supernatural and/or superstitious belief in which spirits, gods, daemons, demons, animas, or other disincarnate entities may take control of a human body, resulting in noticeable changes in behaviour.

The spirit of Angelique possesses Julia Hoffman when a Seance is held in an atempt to get Victoria Winters back from 1790. Maggie Evans performs an exorcism on Julia and drives Angelique out of her. She then takes up residence in Maggie.
